We have plenty of new music ready to release this summer. We’re building on the Longest Summer Ever days, and will be releasing new music and/or videos every Tuesday. We call it #True2LifeTuesdays. Even tho its Wednesday evening, we present you with the first release titled, “Girl With The Tattoo.” We sampled Miguel’s acapella enterlewd and created a brand new song about, well… the girl with the tattoo. Coming into their own as artists, the Brooklyn rap group, True 2 Life Music returns with their most ambitious project to date. Their EP, “Money Never Sleeps,” looks to provide the soundtrack for the recent years in America including the economic situations that face their listeners and themselves. “These past few years have been hard on a lot of people financially and of course that spills over into other parts of your life. While you sleep, with or without your knowledge, money is being exchanged on the other side of the world and decisions are being made to influence your life.” Slangston Hughes adds “These aren’t just decisions we rap about, these are experiences we share with our fans. As young black men and as artists, we feel the impact of what has happened across the country. Money never sleeps, and neither do we.”

During the past year, between Life’s regular occurrences, traveling city to city and state to state, reading, working out, songwriting/producing for other artists, and shows accompanied by hotel after parties, TRUE 2 LIFE MUSIC has been recording for our next major release. The time has come for us to release “Maybe in Time”, the 1st song we are unveiling from our upcoming project titled Money Never Sleeps (…a prelude to every dream).
The song is birthed from an unwillingness to be complacent. It is a mantra proclaiming that although personal relationships may become strained, we are committed to remain full steam ahead towards our ambitions and goals, just as you all should. We hope you enjoy!
We’re proud to present Pretty Boy Neac’s debut album titled “Pushin, Pimpin, Puffin“. The album was released to the streets of Charlotte, North Carolina already but this is it’s internet debut. The whole album is produced by True 2 Life Music. Neac resides in Charlotte, North Carolina however the project was recorded over a 3 month period here in Brooklyn, NY, where I had to embrace a southern vibe. The subject matter should be no surprise, but the title doesn’t tell you enough about the music. The wave is definitely bouncy yet smooth, the beats go in, and lyrics are anything but absent. Definitely worth checking out.

What’s the good word?! We working hard to complete “Every Dream Has A Price”, our latest project that we can’t wait to share. In commemoration of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, who passed this date last year we want to share a snippet of “Desire”
We’ll be rocking out with Wiz Khalifa at Toads Place on Wednesday March 31st, the day we return from our South Florida & SXSW excursion. We’ll be down in the southernest part of the nation for a few weeks and also visiting Austin, Texas to perform at South By South West.
…but back to the show with the homie Wiz (who I fucks with hardbody)… we’ll be performing at Toad’s Place same place we rocked out with Wale.
