Words asked me why I didn’t post this video…its od random but here…

Our intro music is on. We’re back stage stretching out, sipping water, getting our minds right. Many times there’s butterflies in the stomach…still. Not out of nervousness, but out of anxiety… cause we know when we walk onto the stage and I start spittin’ “I put trust in my pen….” [the opening words from our opening song "The Struggle & The Dream"] .. with Concise & Slang on either side… the reaction is going to be crazy. The show has begun.

A smile comes to my face when I see people say “Wait til my face starts Poppin’ on TV“. Or when they react to certain punchlines/flow patterns. That’s dope. It’s very gratifying as an artist to see all the work you put into your craft and your grind resulting in satisfied fans. It drives me to see that we could take a stage in front of thousands of people who don’t know us from Adam, and end up making so many fans, friends, supporters… all off the strength of our music, our passion, our energy… it’s what we do. There’s nothing like it. The feeling ranks up there with sex, roscoe’s chicken & waffles, and hitting a fade away three pointer at the buzzer to win the game. Swish.

Obviously, Lupe Fiasco is on the road to being a hip-hop MEGA star… his name is drawing more and more people and his live show is definitely worth it. So many may think we’re lucky to be able to open for Lupe at so many shows… or T-Pain or The Dream or any other major artist we’re opening for. I guess we’re lucky… kinda. But I believe it is moreso our grind, our talent, and our passion that puts us on stage in front of thousands of people, sans record deal, sans major radio rotation, sans major industry cosign. I would say we’re lucky that god has blessed us with the talent and that our parents instilled principles of hard work into us. Thank you moms. Thank you dads. And for all the love you gave…Thank you Loyola.

Soon, lord willing, up and coming artists will be feeling the same way to be able to open for US.

So we just word that we’ll be opening up for Lupe Fiasco @ Loyola College this Saturday. We’ll be heading back to Baltimore, down the street from where we just rocked out with T-Pain last week. Definitely come through if you are in the DMV area…Lupe puts on a good show and if you haven’t seen us yet…WE GO IN.

The good folks creating “Notorious” and all its bonus media have been releasing a series of video blogs detailing behind the scenes accounts and the overall movie magic for Notorious. Here is the latest one on Ms. Wallace and her roll in the creation of the movie.

If you don’t know by now we, True 2 Life Music (the artists) are acting / featured in this movie. In this clip you can catch a glimpse of me (Concise, playing Gutta of Junior Mafia) in the studio with BIG. I’m smoking some fake weed and rocking a grey champion sweater I never returned to warobe. It’s a scene were BIG is letting Diddy hear what he wants to be his first single. Diddy doesn’t approve and encourages him to make one the best songs in the hip-hop history.

CATCH US @ SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY TODAY FOR WSIN’S SINFEST 2008

So Yeah….
Along with T-Pain, ya boys TRUE 2 LIFE MUSIC kicked off Towson University’s homecoming week. In front of a sold-out crowd of over 3,500 students, we took the stage performing an array of our hits and interludes. Dope music. High energy. Dance moves. You know how we do.

Afterwards the kids at Towson showed us an incredible amount of love. We took pictures, we chatted [“there’s chatsworth out there” © Slang ], we answered questions. Fun times.

I just wanted to say to the Towson crowd… you guys were great. Top 5 (dead or alive) when it comes to colleges that we’ve performed for.

PS: NEXT UP…SCSU & RUTGERS UNIV W/ LUPE FIASCO

Chea. The True 2 Life boys along with DJ Joey Franchize from HARTFORD’S HOT 93.7 are heading to Maryland today to set it off for Towson University’s homecoming week. This year Towson is bringing up T-Pain to perform and asked us to open up for him. NO DOUBT! That’s what we do best. Last time we opened up for Teddy we rocked out and had a really good time. I don’t expect anything less this go ’round. The show is currently sold out but if you are in the Baltimore area and trying to come thru, hit us up and we can try to accommodate some extra tix.
