211 SHUTS DOWN ANOTHER PERFORMANCE

Whats good people?
We here at True 2 Life Music are in the grind. Yessir. No doubt about it. Ever since our trip/vacation to Miami, there’s been an enhanced sense of urgency with developing our business endeavors and creating the dopest/freshest/coolest/smartest/heartfelt music for the world. Even through our tough schedules and the fact that we’re separated across states, there has been considerable effort to get together and bang out these tracks in marathon studio sessions. Slang has some new hits. Jackie Rob has some new hits. Izzo has been promoting his current album (”Image Iz Everything”, click here to purchase) while working on countless remixes and preparing for his next album tentatively titled “It Iz What It Iz”. On top of that we’ve been making strides so you can hear our beats on other artists’ music, networking to strengthen our own marketing/promotion strategies, and rockin’ shows.
Speaking of shows…
Our most recent show was at McGann’s in Boston. A nice sized traditional looking Boston Pub. But it was the house that held another dope True 2 Life Music performance. (Quick shout to the folks who did the event… Justin Springer of Down 2 Earth Media, Rich Future of Ice Reign Ent, and J.Jewels of Jewels Inc.). We rocked out with Mike Maven (on guitar/vocals) and Jon (on keys). We had a good time at the show, people seemed to enjoy, and we polly’d with other up and coming artists who were feelin the vibe. The team simply hit the stage, proceeded to go in, and delivered a great show. I, of course, thought some things coulda been better but we were doing a lot of new material to get an early reaction to the songs.. (when you create so many hit records it’s hard to tell what your lead songs or singles should be).
And like every show we do, regardless of whether the crowd is showing love from the start, they’ll show love at end. Why? Cause we go in. Simple as that. If the crowd has good energy, we’ll feed off it and our performance will be dope. If the crowd lacks energy, we’ll take it as a challenge to turn it around. Once we on stage and the crack is coming from the speakers, you can’t help but nod your head and tap your feet.
I mean.. not to be Mr. Arrogant or anything, but I have plenty of confidence that our performance swag is evident. It’s infectious. I think it’s because we look to hip hop’s best performers to draw tips from. Also cause we know this thing called Hip Hop is supposed to be fun and energetic, and that’s what people wanna see on stage. That’s how guys like Busta and DMX have been able to hold down reputations as good performers, cause their music is energetic and it’s reflected in their performances. We look at how Black Thought and the Roots maintain an interesting show, and how some artists alter song delivery and structure to improve it for a performance. We’re students of the game, yeah.. but we don’t forget to keep it tight to the True 2 Life Style…definitely makin’ jokes on stage and letting our talents move the crowd.
Enjoy pictures from the show.
Holla @ us about booking.
Ayite I gotta get back to work…
